Vehicle Bar Code Policy Update

Dear Residents of Grand Hampton,

As your Community Association Manager, I am writing to inform you of a recent decision made by the Board of Directors regarding the cost of bar codes for vehicle registration approved by the Board of Directors at the March 4, 2024 board meeting.

After careful consideration and evaluation of the operational expenses for Grand Hampton, the Board has approved an adjustment to the cost of bar codes, effective April 1, 2024. The new cost for obtaining new vehicle bar codes for your vehicles will be $15.00. This decision was not made lightly, and it was necessary to ensure that we can continue to provide essential services and maintain the quality of life within our community.

It is important to note that there has not been an increase in the cost of bar codes since 2014. However, over the years, the association’s costs for providing this service have increased. In our analysis of this concern, management and the Board of Directors also looked at the costs of bar codes in other communities and found that the new fee remains in line with the costs charged by similar associations.

We understand that any increase in fees may impact the residents, and we want to assure you that we remain committed to transparent communication and fiscal responsibility.
